學術活動與計劃-學術研討會
本中心於2026年3月17日至18日，與外交部、加拿大駐台北貿易辦事處（Canadian Trade Office in Taipei）、加拿大亞太基金會（Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada）及加拿大渥太華大學（University of Ottawa）共同舉辦「台加印太區域安全論壇」（International Conference on Indo-Pacific Crossroads: Canada, Taiwan, and Regional Partners in Dialogue on Security）及「台加1.5軌雙邊對話」（Canada-Taiwan Track 1.5 Dialogue: Strengthening Economic Resilience in a Shifting Global Landscape）。
本次活動邀集來自台灣、加拿大及印太區域相關國家之學者與政策實務人士，透過多場專題討論，就經濟安全、中等強權與區域安全，以及法律戰與國際法中的競逐等議題進行交流。
本次會議旨在促進台灣與加拿大及理念相近國家之間的學術與政策對話，並深化各界對台海情勢及印太區域安全議題之理解。加拿大方面共組成三十餘人代表團與會，成員涵蓋學界與政府部門。
整體而言，本次論壇延續去年度之交流基礎，持續提供跨國對話平台，協助與會者就區域安全挑戰與潛在合作方向進行討論。與會者普遍肯定本次活動之交流成果，並期待未來進一步深化相關合作與對話。
From March 17 to 18, 2026, the Center co-organized the International Conference on Indo-Pacific Crossroads and the Canada–Taiwan Track 1.5 Dialogue, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei, the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, and the University of Ottawa.
The events brought together scholars from Taiwan, Canada, and other Indo-Pacific countries, along with policy practitioners from Taiwan and Canada. Participants exchanged views on economic security, regional stability, middle powers, and legal contestation under international law.
Building on the foundation of previous exchanges, the conferences aimed to promote academic and policy dialogue between Taiwan, Canada, and like-minded partners, while deepening understanding of cross-Strait developments and broader Indo-Pacific security issues.
Overall, the forums provided a platform for meaningful dialogue and cooperation, with participants expressing strong interest in continuing and expanding future exchanges.
